ArroTech’s Field Operations are Gathering Steam
ArroTech personnel in Ukraine successfully scanned an acreage in the Chernihiv Oblast, pinpointing the locations of multiple items of interest with the autonomous GEON E61 drone and its metal-detecting system.
The mission, which was carried out at a field previously occupied by Russian troops, took place during the weekend of June 21-22, and was interrupted by air raid sirens, a sobering reminder of the dangerous context in which the operations were conducted.
Following years in which it focused on research and development spearheaded and directed by its co-owner and chief technical officer Tobias Leininger, ArroTech has embarked on a new project phase — field operations.
In so doing, ArroTech is demonstrating its utility and capacity in neutralizing threats posed by landmines and unexploded ordnance. The purpose-built GEON E61 offers advantages including real-time data processing and delivery and obstacle avoidance. It is a system that dramatically increases scanning speeds while greatly improving deminers’ safety by eliminating the need for them to enter contaminated areas.
